Engemann Student Counseling Services Offer New Support Groups

Engemann Student Counseling Services is introducing two new support groups: the Sexual Orientation Support Group and the Gender Spectrum Support Group. These groups are a redesigned support system from last semester’s Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity (SOGI) Support Group.

The Sexual Orientation Support Group addresses life and relationship issues related to sexual orientation, allowing students to speak freely about subjects relating to their sexuality. The group meets every Tuesday from 4pm-5:30pm at Engemann Student Health Center.

Gender Spectrum addresses life and issues related to gender. Students can speak freely about issues regarding relationships, exploring gender identity, transitioning, etc. The group meets every Thursday from 2pm-3:30pm at Engemann Student Health Center.

If you’re interested or would like to learn more about the groups, check out the flyers and contact Bryce McDavitt at bryce.mcdavitt@usc.edu

Engemann Student Counseling Services aims to give support to diverse student groups on campus in safe spaces. Their programs offer a form of support from others who have similar experiences, letting students know they are not alone. Other groups include:

  • Men of Color Group (Monday 12:15pm-1:15pm in STU 413)
